  1. Poseidon Diving Station has been operating in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka since 1973 and is the only PADI 5* I DC Centre, the highest rating in the PADI system, in the South of Sri Lanka. We also operate a dive centre in the North East in Trincomalee.
  2. Safety is paramount to everything we do to ensure you have the best experience.
      • Our staff is highly trained and have many years of experience. You can expect the highest level of professionalism from our instructors, dive masters, captains and boat crew.
      • We have 3 comfortable boats to cater for all requests and types of diving (depending on conditions and upon decision of the dive manager).
      • We will implement all COVID-19 safety procedures based on PADI and DAN network recommendations, the 2 highest authorities in the scuba diving industry, and in accordance with the Sri Lankan government recommendations.
  1. We offer all PADI courses from your first certification to the professional level and you can count on a team of highly experienced and qualified instructors to support you in your scuba diving journey.
  2. We also provide PADI scuba diving discovery programmes to give you a taste of the fun and joy of scuba diving by focussing on the experience of breathing underwater under close supervision.
  3. We speak your language. We run courses in English. French. Italian. German and Russian. Course materials are available in over 10 languages.
  4. For qualified divers, we run daily trips to discover our local dive sites and visit our beautiful wrecks and rock formations. We have shallow and deep dive sites, to suit all tastes and level of certifications.
  5. The marine life is amazing. Turtles are almost guaranteed in our house reef and we have regular sightings of barracudas, trevallies, colourful nudibranchs, potato groupers… and even the occasional whale shark or blue whale at our local dive sites.
  6. Hotel & restaurant on site.You can stay with us too! We have comfortable rooms at the Dive Centre, 2 of them with sea view. We also have a restaurant offering a mix of sri lankan classics and international dish. Ask about special rate if you’re diving with us too.
  7. We’re here to make your experience seamless. We can help arrange your transfer from the airport to Poseidon Diving Station. Or any part of your stay in beautiful Hikkaduwa – just ask!
